"Taste Exploration" Class
Kids learned their 5 tastes then
tasted yummy farmers market produce
Here is what fifth graders from the St Helena Elementary School had
to say about the class:
"Thank you for inviting us to the Farmers Market. We really liked it. Thanks for giving us the tomatos-they were really good because they were sweet. We hope we see you again"

"Thanks for the tasting (even if I didn't like the tomato). The apples with sugar tasted great! That was my favorite one. I enjoy peeling off the grapes. I learned tasting is fun.

"I really enjoyed it. I liked the sweet taste of the cantelope, and the grapes are kind of sour. The tomatoes are juicy. I liked the farmer's market one better than the store ones. I really enjoyed it."

"It was quite fun. The grapes were quite sweet, and the melon and tomatoes were good too. And the lemon was tart! Most of all the Heirloom tomatoes were soooooooooo good- with and without sugar."
